Hartley Nature Center broke ground last week on a multi million dollar expansion project.

Many of you may not know this but quite a few kids volunteer at Animal Allies, because of the awesome experience they had at summer camp at the shelter.

The man left his camp site Wednesday afternoon and did not return by nightfall, prompting a search.

Rescue Divas is an educational residential camp that teaches girls about opportunities in emergency aid fields. Girls in Douglas County that are in 6-8 grade can apply to go to the camp.

Animal Allies is starting a new program called Spring Break Camp.  It will run during student's spring bring April 8-12.  Kids ages 8-12 can learn about how to care for animals, and do some volunteer work for the shelter.
