I'll admit it, when the Ford Flex first came out in 2009 I was not too keen on it's looks.  It just didn't do much for me.  As time went on the looks grew on me and yesterday I finally got behind the wheel of one.

The first thing I noticed was the room, holy spacious.  I'm not a small guy and I really appreciate getting into a vehicle that is roomy for the driver and passengers.  While it is spacious and the interior feels huge it doesn't drive like that.  It drives like a lower to the ground Ford Explorer.

The steering is tight and it responds well to driver input and even in sharper corners it dives right in and feels incredibly stable.  There are only two engine options for this ride and I had the non Ecoboost model which still had plenty of power so my throttle hungry foot.  The one I had for a few days had the Sony Sound System which I highly suggest for music lovers.

While one wouldn't fit my no kids lifestyle, I would suggest to anyone with kids or a lot of cargo to haul to at least test drive a Ford Flex and see for yourself what this spacious ride has to offer.
