The ice caves have been an amazing place to visit throughout this harsh winter.  However, due warming weather conditions your time to visit them this year is quickly winding down.

StarTribune.com is reporting that officials will be closing the ice caves no later than Sunday due to changing weather conditions.  With warming weather, visiting the location become less safe and public safety is the top priority.

The condition of the ice caves will be monitored day-to-day and they may be closed earlier.  Those still hoping to visit the caves should call an automated ice line at 715-779-3398, extension 3, for conditions.
