Rapper Lil Wayne was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, but he isn't much of a fan of the local NFC team in his hometown. Rather, he roots for a team 1,000 miles north.

Weezy became a fan of the Green Bay Packers after his dad got to watch the Packers beat the Patriots during Super Bowl XXXI in New Orleans in 1997, and his dad brought home all kinds of Packer gear after the game. Having all of that Packers merch around planted the seeds of what would become a lifelong love for the Green and Gold starting at the young age of 14.

Wayne got a Christmas gift from the team, in the form of a football signed by Packers players and coaches. In a video showing off the gift, he said he "might have to show up" for the team's first playoff game after the bye "all minked out". He held true on his promise, showing up in a white fur coat as the Packers started their playoff run against Seattle.

While he was there, he was given the opportunity to lead a stadium full of Packers fans in the Lambeau tradition of the polka "Roll Out The Barrel" during the playoff matchup against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night. Give it a watch below:

The Packers advance to the NFC Championship in Santa Clara against the 49ers at 5:40 pm on Sunday, January 19. Something tells me Wayne won't miss the game that will decide if the Packers go back to the Super Bowl for the first time since winning it in 2010.

Here are a few photos from Lil Wayne's time on the field, leading the crowd in the song.
