The Waldorf Method has been around for awhile, which encourages more creative play in developmental years and a more free flowing approach to educating kids in hopes to let every child learn while maintaining individuality.  This educational method is now available in the Northland.

The Northland's News Center reported that the Spirit of the Lake just opened this year.  It is a private community school, located on the outskirts of Duluth, utilizing the Waldorf Method.  It's hidden on Howard Gnesen Road, where younger students spend more time outside, playing and not on computers or watching television.

What your thoughts on this method of education which, despite some criticism, is growing across the nation?  Have you had any personal experience with the Waldorf Method?
