It's hard enough to get around our Downtown Duluth Government Offices, so many floors of offices with each one attending to a different need.  There's been a change since my previous blog, so if you are planning to make a trip to City Hall, here's the new information you need to know.

Construction was slated to start this week repairing the front entry stairs of Duluth City Hall, facing Priley Drive. They felt the need to do this because deteriorating conditions over the years.  However, there has been a change due to unforeseen issues.

They have had to shift their focus to the upper level stairs located on West First Street side of the building. The doors facing West First Street are closed and not accessible. This particular set of steps was to have work beginning on them next month, but will instead undergo repairs this week into early next week.

Previously scheduled work on the stairs facing Priley Drive is on hold until the contractors have completed their work on the upper level steps facing West First Street. The City Hall doors facing Priley Drive are currently open with a section of those stairs accessible until early next week at which point, those steps will be closed for repairs lasting an estimated 3 weeks.

So How Do I Enter City Hall?

There are additional City Hall entries located on West 2nd Street and 4th Ave West, both of which have electronic doors for ADA accessibility,  I suggest you use those.

Please note, the parking meters that were closed due to the anticipated construction will remain unusable.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your patience.
