Two Powerball Tickets Sold In Minnesota Win $50K In February 4 Drawing
Two people who recently purchased Powerball tickets in Minnesota are now $50,000 richer thanks to the Powerball ticket for the drawing that took place on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Saturday's drawing featured an estimated $700,000,000 jackpot and while the two Minnesota winners didn't take home the big grand prize, falling just one number short, winning $50K will certainly put a huge smile on their faces.
The winning Powerball numbers on February 4 were: 2-8-15-19-58 Powerball 10, Power Play 2x.
According to the Minnesota State Lottery, the two $50,000 winning tickets purchased at the following locations:
- COBORN'S #2039 1500 ELM ST E SUITE 1, ST JOSEPH
- THE CORNER STORE 3015 80TH ST E, INVER GROVE HEIGHTS
In order to win $50,000 the winners would've matched 4 out of 5 white numbers while also matching the Powerball number. So close to winning the jackpot! The big question is, who are the lucky winners?
Unless they decide to come forward publicly, we may never know. Recently, regulation changes took place in order to protect lottery winners who win over $10,000. Big-money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.
Since nobody claimed the $700 million Powerball Grand Prize on February 4, the next Powerball jackpot will grow to an estimated $747 million, a number that could grow based on ticket sales. The next drawing is set for 9:59 p.m. on Monday, February 6.
If you want to take a shot at all the dough, remember the cutoff to purchase your Powerball tickets is 9:00 p.m. on the days of the drawings, which are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
