There's no shortage of games when it comes to winning money with the Minnesota Lottery. You can play the national games that seem to get the most publicity, like Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto America, and more, but there are other ways to win big.

Take, for example, North 5, the daily $1 Minnesota-only lotto game where you can win the jackpot by matching all 5 numbers. You can also pay an extra buck to add the EZ Match option for a chance to win up to $500.

North 5 players purchase tickets and pick five numbers from 1 to 31. Drawings are held every day at 6:17 p.m. To win the jackpot, you'd have to match all 5 numbers. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 278,256.00

Someone in Minnesota did just that on the last day of May, and according to the Minnesota Lottery, that jackpot has yet to be claimed.

North 5 Jackpot Won On Saturday, May 31

The North 5 jackpot had grown to a whopping $276,186 when the drawing was held on May 31. The winning numbers were 1-19-29-31-34, and the winning ticket that matched all 5 numbers was purchased in Inver Grove Heights.

Lottery officials say the ticket was purchased at The Corner Store, located at 3015 80th Street E.

According to the Minnesota Lottery website, that jackpot is currently unclaimed, so we don't yet know who won. However, we may never find out unless they decide to come forward publicly. Lottery regulations are in place to protect winners who win over $10,000. This is because big-money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.
