When the Twins season ended a year ago, after losing a team record 103 games, there was speculation on whether they would fire manager Paul Molitor.  What a difference a year makes.

The Minnesota Twins announced they have signed Manager Paul Molitor to a three-year contract extension, which will keep him as the club’s manager through 2020.

This comes after Molitor led the Twins to a record of 85-77, a 26-win improvement from the previous season and the biggest improvement in baseball.  The Twins also made playoffs for the first time since 2010.

Next up for Molitor might very well be an American League Manager Of The Year honor.
