With more airlines and a recovering economy, people of the Northland increased their travel in 2012.

The Northland's NewsCenter is reporting that according to airport officials, 322,208 passengers flew in and out of the airport in 2012, which is an increase of 9% compared to 2011.

2013 looks to be strong as well with Allegiant Airline flights staying busy and the addition of United's 3rd daily flight to Chicago.

If the winter gets much colder, we'll probably see more and more people getting out of town for a bit as well.
