If you were born in the 70's or 80's, odds are you or one of your friends had one of these original gray box Nintendo Gameboys.  I happened to find mine in an old box in my dad's attic.  I was helping him move when I spotted the black carrying case.   "No way!"  I thought to myself, "It can't really be in there and still work!?"Guess what, it does!  Somehow when I put it away as a teenager probably 17 years ago, I was somewhat responsible enough to put everything together!  It even had the "Hot Cats" charging pack, where I thought I would never have to buy AA batteries batteries again.  I also found the connecting cord where you could plug into your friends gameboy.  Now only if I could find another one!

Immediately I started rifling through the games and found my old favorites.  Within seconds of playing them I immediately remembered the tricks.  It's been 20 years, and I still got it.  My favorite game back then was Super Mario Land 2.  If you remember it, it had the different places with the levels, like the tree, the moon, the giant pumpkin, etc.

The gameboy was the first time you could take a gaming system with multiple games anywhere with you.  I can't even imagine how many hours I spent in the back of my mom's 1990 Grand Caravan playing this thing.

Remember when the batteries would start to go dead, and you would keep turning down the contrast knob until you could no longer see anything!  Fun memories of a Nintendo childhood.
