Superior BID

I had the pleasure of working with Kaye Tenerelli for years and many of us can say that.  She always has a smile on her face and the best interest of the Superior businesses in the BID district on her mind.  While it's sad to know I won't be working with her anymore, the years of dedication I've witnessed warrants a very happy retirement!

Make plans for lunch tomorrow at the Superior Business Improvement's (BID) Farmer's Market to support the P.A.S.S. Foundation (Performing Arts Student Scholarship).  It's a true kick off to summer and so much fun to watch the market's tables slowly fill up with fresh, local fruits, flowers and vegetables as the harvest continues to grow.

Many people have different ways of training, some people can run the race without any prior training, some prefer a beer and some vip pizza, some have a strict regiment that they stick to. Whatever the way you train, you're invited to see if you can post your personal best.

The Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is a fun event that the City of Superior does annually this time of year.  I've brought my family to this over the years to kick off the Holiday Season, and we've always had a good time.

Crews had been working diligently to have Tower Avenue finished by last Friday.  While dining at a restaurant on Tower I noted that they were working well into the evening hours.  According to Chris Ouellette from the DOT, the construction is completed and after the date of Tower Avenue's opening had been postponed, the day is finally here.

The Tower Avenue construction in Superior is coming along nicely and it's nice that they provide updates.  Don't let it affect your decision to visit the Farmer's Market held every Wednesday at Center City Park next to the Library on the corner of Tower and Belknap.  I'll be broadcasting there live on Wednesday from 11:30a-2p!

Work is progressing on the massive renovation of Tower Avenue in downtown Superior.   Sewer work continues, sidewalk concrete is being poured, and groundwork for landscaping has begun.

It's the time of year that fruits and vegetables are in abundance.  Soon, root veggies will be harvested and then we'll run right into pumpkins and gourdes, but I'm getting w a y ahead of myself.  The main ingredient for this Taste of Home recipe can be purchased fresh (along with a lot of other goodies) at the Superior Downtown Farmer's Market today where B105 will be broadcasting live.

I had a wonderful day in Superior at "Sweep the BID"...for those of you who don't know what the BID is, it's an acronym for Business Improvement District.  Sweep the BID is the day chosen for the business owners in the BID to get out and spruce up their store fronts for the summer.  Many were out sweeping and washing their windows.
