Prince's family has a big surprise for fans of the FREE Paisley Park tour on April 21, the 5 year anniversary of Prince's Death. This event is sold out, but you can put your name on the waiting list, and regular tours will be going on that day as well.
While Life may sometimes seem like a loving collaboration of used parts — a dash of Alien, a dollop of Gravity, a pinch of every ’90s monster movie your parents still have on VHS in their attic — there is one element of the movie that is Life and Life’s alone: that ending. If you haven’t seen the film yet, now would be a good time to stop reading, because we’re going to get into the nuts and bolts of what made that Life ending work.
After several weeks of limited movement, a handful of new releases prompted a pretty thorough shakeup of the Box Office Top 10. While Beauty and the Beast continued its unstoppable assault on the domestic box office, we also said hello this weekend to three new movies and goodbye to a handful of old favorites from the first few months of the year. Let’s start with the estimated numbers as of Sunday afternoon.
The newest trailer for sci-fi horror film Life is probably its best yet. We already know the basic plot, thanks to the other trailers that have been released (scientists on a space station find a living organism floating through the void that turns out to be a not-so-friendly extraterrestrial monster), so this trailer can be as short and sweet as it wants, while giving us some more of that squicky human hand vs. gross alien tentacle action. Spoiler alert: the hand loses.
In the annals of pop culture, encounters between humankind and our intergalactic neighbors have not gone well. Either the extraterrestrials arrive armed to the teeth and immediately get to work vaporizing everyone in sight — your War of the Worlds model — or homo sapiens play the aggressor and fly into a violent frenzy of premature retribution, only to discover too late that the aliens have come in peace — think The Day the Earth Stood Still. Today brings a first look at yet another film about what life forms await curious space explorers, and true to form, even the single-cell organisms know enough to try to exterminate humanity.
When I was a little boy many years ago, I met my first best friend. Robert O'Sullivan was a dark haired skinny kid, I was a chunky blondish kid. I don't know what got us together, I think it was music, or maybe because he lived near me. We had sleep overs like every other little kid and no worries in the world.
There has been a blog that has gone viral that's titled "This Man Is Dating Someone Even Though He's Married. Sounds So Wrong...But I'm On His Side."
It's basically about how this married couple still dates and keeps their relationship strong. Are you doing the same? Well for a lot of us it may not be that easy.
These articles are nice, and this isn't the first one with this theme tha
I've lived in quite a few different places since I moved away from the Iron Range after high school. I spent a few years living in the Twin Cities, I've spent a few years living out in farm country (Iowa), and I've ended up here in the Twin Ports. I gotta say, I don't think I'll ever leave.
A blood test that should be available in Europe by the end of the year could give you a pretty good indication of how fast you are aging and how much longer you will live.
The test measures telomeres, structures on the end of each of your chromosomes, which scientists think may hold the key to determining a person's "true age."
