Multiple reports of fake bills have been reported.

The Proctor Police Department is warning the public of counterfeit currency that is currently circulating in Minnesota and it could very well find its way into the Northland.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced today that they intercepted a shipment of counterfeit touchscreen tablets at the International Falls Port of Entry.

The fake money is in the form of fifty dollar bills.

In a social media post this week, the Iron River Police Department warned the public of fake $10 bills that have been spotted in circulation around the area.

Counterfeit money has been circulating in the Cloquet, MN area. The Cloquet Police Department warns all businesses in the area to carefully examine the bills that customers come in with.

The Floodwood Minnesota Police Department has issued a warning for citizens to be on the lookout for counterfeit 20 dollar bills.

Ken and I had talked about the topic of counterfeit bills in the area recently.  It's easy to spot, IF you're looking for it, but easy to miss if you're just going about your business and moving forward through your day.  The Duluth Police Department says that there are more and more of the bills being detected in the area and that prompted them to issue a warning.

I was floored when I read that a woman had no idea that she was carrying three counterfeit $100 bills...and she got them from a BANK!!!
