Congrats and thank you to the Duluth Police Department.  The suspect they apprehended had an extensive criminal history.  He had been convicted on two counts of felony theft of a motor vehicle, other multiple thefts, and traffic violations.  But he is in custody now after trying to steal from the Northland Country Club.

This past Saturday, January 9th, at 1:35 a.m. Duluth Police were called to an alarm that was triggered at the Northland Country Club, 3901 East Superior Street.   When they arrived they searched the building to ensure no one was inside.

Officers did located a male in the area who initially gave a false name, but was later identified as 34 year old Colin James Gantz. He admitted to entering the building and law enforcement found that he had items from the building in his possession.

After being taken to jail, Colin Gantz was formally charged in St. Louis County District Court for 3rd Degree Burglary and false name to police.
