‘Spooner Blows’ Hoodies Now For Sale At A Wisconsin Restaurant
Why didn't anyone think of this sooner? A local artist has turned a long-standing prank into profit by capitalizing on the 'Spooner Blows' graffiti on a bridge in Wisconsin.
If you've ever made the drive west of Hayward, you've seen the "Spooner Blows" graffiti on a railway bridge over highway 63. It in fact got a colorful update two years ago that I wrote about.
It's been a part of a rivalry between Spooner and Hayward, Wisconsin. Sometimes you'll see "Hayward Sucks" on the opposite side. It periodically gets painted over by authorities, but for years the graffiti eventually makes a return. It's a long-standing Wisconsin tradition.
I saw a nearby establishment share a photo of apparel with the famous bridge graffiti on it. It's been a hit with locals. The name of the place is The Cranky Buzzard located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
The hoodies come in gray or black and are $40. You can order one in the bar or by messaging their Facebook page. They are sharing local artists' creations at the bar, and this was the latest to create some buzz.
The creator is Jesse Nolan, and in Facebook comments, he mentions that he is working on t-shirts and other items with the bridge on them. Beer koozies would be a great idea as well. Jesse says he's working on tank tops too.
It might be worth a road trip to check out this "fresh farm to table" restaurant that also has a full bar. They look like they have some really great food. The photos sure look tasty.
You can find The Cranky Buzzard at 409 Galloway Street in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
