Mountain Bike enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels will want to head to Spirit Mountain for the 6th Annual Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival.

The festival is Friday, August 2 - Sunday, August 4 and, according to organizers,:

The action-packed festival features something for everyone from the road biking spandex warriors and free-riding adrenaline junkies to the families and kids that simply want to try a new sport. Events include Enduro, Downhill and XC races, product demos, and a Kids Course with special Kids Bike Events. There is also an Adventure Ride, which takes mountain bike enthusiasts through 20 or 40 miles of Duluth’s epic trail system and offers spectacular vistas of the St. Louis River.

 

Early registration is available Friday, August 2 followed by an opportunity to check out the trails ahead of time.

Saturday begins with an Opening Ceremony at 8:30 a.m., then it's a full day of races and bike events.

Attendees can also explore the Expo Village, which features product demos from Trek, Specialized and more, as well as local craft breweries and food.

This is a family friendly event, with Spirit Mountain hosting youth activities throughout the day including kids bike races for all ages and abilities.

Sunday brings the Return of the Powder Monkey XC Race, which is part of the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series and features separate races for riders of all abilities, from kids and beginners to pros.
