The Quilted Dog in Cloquet was burglarized last week, perhaps during Thanksgiving. The owners arrived at the store on Friday morning to find cash, materials, customer's quilts, candy, and even toilet paper was stolen.

According to the Pine Journal, the owners Mary and Gerry Thompson estimate the cost of the missing items at $10,000. They even had a security system they were planning on installing stolen as well.

The Cloquet Police Department is investigating the theft. Be wary of any quilts you may be finding for sale online, as they may be stolen goods. Sadly, quilts are often made from items that mean something to families and can never be replaced. They've reached out to other quilt shops to be on the lookout for items as well.

If you have any information regarding this burglary you are asked to call the Cloquet Police Department at 218-879-1247.

Of all the places to rob, who would have thought of a quilt shop?
