I was pretty excited to go this last Saturday to Country Fest in Cadott, WI.  The line-up included headliner Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Neal McCoy, David Nail and more.  I had already seen Toby perform before, so I was really looking forward to Little Big Town.  The thought of seeing Neal McCoy didn't exactly get me running to the stage, but I am sure glad I did.

It wasn't anything against Neal, I just wasn't expecting such a performance.  Not only did he sing his hit songs perfectly, but he was more than a singer... He was an entertainer.  Something that "kids these days' don't know anything about.   He not only sang excellent, he kept the crowd eating out of his hand for his segment of the festival.

He told jokes, was down to earth, and had the crowd singing along.  He even broke into a Justin Timberlake song "Suit & Tie", and he sounded just as good as JT.   I'm not joking... you heard it right.  He also went back an played some of the huge hits from the 70's and 80's pop radio including "Play That Funky Music, White Boy..."

If you get the chance to see Neal in concert, don't miss it.  He's a pro and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed Neal.  So much so that when Little Big Town took the stage, I'm not going to lie... it was a little of a let down.  They sounded phenomenal, but didn't connect with me the way good ol Neal did.
