The Cross City Trail was built with the intention on connecting the Willard Munger Trail and the Duluth Lakewalk.  It's not only a recreational use path but one designed to allow commuting by bicycle from West Duluth and Lincoln Park, to Downtown Duluth and Canal Park.  On Saturday October 17th, there will be a Ride, Walk, or Roll event on a new section called the River Route.

It's from 10:00AM-12:00PM and will leave from Clyde Iron Works at 2920 West Michigan Street in Duluth.  Social distancing will be in place and if you don't feel comfortable going out, you can always still participate virtually.  This is part of Zeitgeist's Bus Bike Walk, an event going on for the whole month of October.  It features many events that celebrate, educate, and encourage people to use means other than cars to get around.  Many of the events for the month are virtual, or can at least be participated in virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please note that if you are going to take part in any activities in person, that they will require masks and social distancing will be enforced to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

You can get more information about the new River Route on the Cross City Trail and find out more about what else Zeitgeist has to offer for the month of events HERE.
