Mont Du Lac Announces Last Day Of Winter Operations March 28
The winter season is officially over as Spring began on March 20. However, there is one last weekend available to enjoy the slopes in the Twin Ports. Mont Du Lac Resort located in Superior, WI announced that their last day of winter operations will be Sunday, March 28 from 10am-4pm.
To celebrate the end of the season, they are offering lift tickets for Sunday at just .99 cents. The chair lift and only main run will be open on Sunday, but they will still have food and beverage options available and live music in the afternoon on their Base Lodge Deck.
The tubing hill has closed for the season and will re-open for summer operations on Friday May 28.
Spirit Mountain meanwhile has closed for the season and thanks everyone for a successful winter. Conditions began to deteriorate because of some unseasonably warm Duluth days with multiple days of bright sun and temperatures reaching the 60 degree mark.
Giants Ridge in Biwabik, MN remains open. Their website says that they will be open until April 4, if conditions allow. A check of their webcam shows that as of Friday they still have people hitting the slopes, and have most of their ski runs still groomed and open.
If you're looking for a deal on next year passes, most ski resorts offer end of season discounts on passes for next year. It's a good way to save money, and a pretty sure bet that you'll be able to get your money's worth out of them.

Mont Du Lac has expanded their summer operations to include a waterpark, summer slides, Big River Tubing, disc golf and more activities. Giants Ridge has some excellent biking and world class golf courses.
