Kids 15 And Under Ski Free At Mont Du Lac Next Season
Mont Du Lac Resort is expanding on its free skiing and snowboarding for youth next season. Registration begins on March 21st during the Spring Meltdown Event.
Mont Du Lac has been offering free skiing for children 10 and under to get kids on the slopes. It was so successful that leadership decided to raise the age limit to kids 15 and under.
“We want to create lifelong skiers and snowboarders,” said resort leadership. “By removing the cost barrier for kids, we’re making it easier for families to spend time together on the mountain and introduce the next generation to winter sports.”

Youth participation tripled in the 2025-2026 season with the 10-and-under Kids Ski Free program. Now, they expect more than 1,500 kids to participate in the coming season.
“Our goal is simple,” leadership said. “We want families to be able to ski together without cost being the barrier. Offering free youth passes alongside affordable lift tickets for adults helps make that possible.”
Families are encouraged to register their kids during the Spring Meltdown Event on March 21st. Those who register at the event will have their hard card pass fee waived. The Spring Meltdown will feature live entertainment, competitions, and the Mont Du Lac Resort pond skim.

Mont Du Lac resort is located just minutes from Duluth and Superior, offering recreation for all four seasons. Learn more on Mont Du Lac Resort's website.
