It's NHL Trade Deadline day, and the Minnesota Wild are making moves.

The first of those moves is a reported trade with the Chicago Blackhawks to acquire goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

The report on Monday morning was shared by a number of NHL insiders, including Michael Russo of The Athletic. As Russo reported, Fleury would head to Minnesota as Chicago would get a conditional pick.

Those details have seemingly become clearer, with the conditional pick from Minnesota reportedly being a second rounder that could become a first round pick, contingent on what happens with the rest of the season.

As Russo later explained, the second round pick could become a first round pick if the Wild win two rounds in the playoffs and Fleury wins at least 4 games in those rounds.

Fleury, who is 37, is a three-time Stanley Cup winner. He won in 2009 and again in 2016 and 2017 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also played a role in the Vegas Golden Knights making playoff appearances early in the life of the franchise, including an appearance in the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals. He was then traded to Chicago for the 2021 season, where he completed the feat of becoming the first goalie in NHL history to have beaten all 32 teams

After the acquisition of Fleury, the Wild then sent goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen to the San Jose Sharks in a separate trade, where the Wild would get 26 year-old defenseman Jacob Middleton along with an draft pick, which has yet to be specified publicly.

In the wake of getting Fleury and sending Kahkonen to the Sharks, Dean Evason said the team will start Cam Talbot tonight against Las Vegas.

In yet another trade earlier today, the Wild sent forward Jack McBain to Arizona, with the Coyotes sending a 2022 second round pick back to Minnesota.

As the trade deadline approaches Monday afternoon at 2 pm, we'll see if there are any other moves made. The Wild had enjoyed some strong success early in the season, hitting a bit of a slump lately.

The Wild are currently in a 3-way tie for 4th place in points in the Western Conference, tied with Nashville for 3rd in points in the Central Division. They play the Vegas Golden Knights Monday night.

We'll see if the team makes any more moves ahead of this afternoon's deadline.
