Martha's Daughter Restaurant has announced that they will be closing their downtown Duluth location.

They confirmed on their Facebook page that the restaurant, located at 107 E. Superior Street, will be closing but their food will still be available locally through Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival:

Today marks the beginning of construction on Superior Street. And we are making moves of our own! We will be doing POP UPS ONLY from now through Homegrown!

TwinCities.com is reporting that beyond the Duluth pop-ups, Martha's Daughter is also planning collaboration dinners and pop-ups in Madison, Minneapolis, Western Massachusetts and San Francisco.

Martha's Daughter had been struggling as of late.  In March of this year, the Duluth Alcohol, Gambling and Tobacco Commission voted to suspend the restaurant's liquor license for missed payments.

Between recent struggles and the Superior Street construction project, Martha's Daughter decided it was best to close it's doors and adopt more of a nomad business model.
