The Maple Grove Road project continues this week, which will lead to a trio of intersections along the road being temporarily closed beginning October 7.

According to the City of Hermantown, St. Louis County will be paving Maple Grove Road, which is why the temporary daily closures are necessary.  The temporary closures are expected to impact the intersections Lavaque Road, Ugstad Road and Reinke Road.

These closures should take place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. throughout the week, so at least it won't have an impact on the busier morning and evening commutes.

If your regular daily travels take you to the areas impacted, make sure to plan ahead and take an alternate route.

With paving being done, it would appear that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Maple Grove Road project, which will be a tremendous relief to motorists and home owners in the area.
