Stokke’s Wants You To Know Their Still Open For Business Despite Road Construction
I was taking some backroads home last weekend on my motorcycle, north of Duluth. I decided to drive through Highway 2 and through Proctor on my way home to Superior. When I got to the roundabout near the Grand Lake Station, I saw that Highway 2 was closed. Oh great, here's a detour.
It took me all the way to Midway Road, and then I had the choice to continue on to 53 or take Midway Road to Highway 2 and then through Proctor. I decided it would just be quicker to go down Highway 53 because of the detour.
Interestingly enough, I had thought about stopping at Stokke's on the way back to grab something for the grill for dinner. But, with the detour, it wasn't worth the time.
I saw Stokke's on Facebook asking for business at their Adolph location because of the same situation that just happened to me. They've had to deal with road construction and detours quite a bit in recent years, and when it happens, business is affected. This year is particularly difficult with the number of road projects in the area.
This latest closure has once again reduced the number of people making their way to our doors, and we're asking for your support during this time. If you're able to take the short detour, every visit, every purchase, and every share of this post helps more than you might realize.

Now I feel bad I didn't make the extra detour.
Stokke's posted an update on their Facebook page, reminding everyone they are still open and could use your support.
The post was positively received, with many loyal customers pledging to stop in. It's peak grilling season! Let's get some good local meat and support this business!
