UPDATE: this show has been postponed until 2022.

Kenny Chesney is coming back to Minnesota in 2021 as promised.

The country star was supposed to play U.S. Bank Stadium this past May but had to postpone the show due to COVID-19 coronavirus. A new date for the postponed show was announced Monday (June 15th) afternoon: Saturday, June 5th of 2021.

Michael Franti, Spearhead, Old Dominion and Florida Georgia Line will still act as openers for the big show.

Here's what you need to know if you have tickets to the show:

  • If you have tickets to the original show, they will be valid for the new show date.
  • If you are unable to attend the new show date, you have thirty days to request a refund. To get a refund to the show, you must contact your point of purchase.

If you want to get tickets to the new show in 2021, you can do so here. Prices range from $45 dollars to $265 dollars.

As mentioned, the country star was supposed to kick off his 2020 Chillaxification Tour earlier this year. However, in March, he announced he would be postponing his shows to a later date due to COVID-19.

In May, as concerns of the pandemic continued to grow, he announced he would be pushing his entire tour a year to ensure the health and safety of his fans. He promised fans he would reschedule the entire tour and that he would indeed be back to Minnesota.

I am so happy he rescheduled the show! A Kenny Chesney show is always a good time and in the meantime, we can fully learn all the words to his new album so we are ready to sing at the top of our lungs!
