UPDATE: this show has been postponed until 2022.

Kenny Chesney will not take the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium this year after all: the country star has postponed his Chillaxification Tour until 2021.

Kenny will now bring said tour to Minnesota in the new year instead. A new date for the show has not been announced but according to U.S. Bank Stadium, a new date is coming soon.

He was supposed to play in Minneapolis in early May along with tour openers Old Dominion and Florida Georgia Line. However, he postponed that initial show earlier this year as concerns about COVID-19 started to ramp up.

If you had tickets to the original date, you have two different options regarding tickets:

  • You can keep your current ticket, as existing tickets will be honored for the new date. As mentioned, that date will be released soon but there is no new date just yet.
  • If you would like a refund, you can get one at the original purchase point 30 days after the new date for the show is announced.

Kenny himself was the first to share the news on his website and social media pages, writing that he has decided to the push the tour back to the new year hoping it will be much safer for fans at that time due to the current pandemic. You can read his full statement below:

Earlier in the day, George Strait postponed his show at U.S. Bank Stadium, along with openers Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town. It was supposed to happen this August but has now been pushed to late July of 2021.
