Sad news for fans hoping to see Kenny Chesney on the road this year: he has postponed his tour once again, this time until 2022.

The country star was set to go on his Chillaxification Tour 2020 last year. He first announced the tour in late 2019. It included a stop in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium the following summer. Now, after postponing the show several times amid the uncertainty of COVID-19, it has been postponed once again, along with the rest of the tour.

The new tour will take place in 2022. All of the venues that were set to hold the tour in 2020 will do so again in 2022. Dates for the new tour have not yet been released. We will continue to keep you updated as new tour dates roll in for the Minneapolis date.

It should also be noted that the tour will no longer be the Chillaxification Tour. Instead, according to his team, it will have a new name, which will be released at a later date. It will also include a new opening lineup and new music.

Kenny himself released a statement accompanying the news, stating that he misses his fans but wants to make sure the concert can be the best it can be. While acknowledging that things are looking up from where they were at this time last year, he says he doesn't want to risk the health of his fans and doesn't want a show where only a part of the audience can attend.

Kenny's U.S. Bank Stadium show was set for Saturday, June 5th of this year with special guests Florida Georgia Line and Old Dominion. As mentioned, there is no new date for the stadium show just yet but there will be one in the near future.
