‘I, Tonya’ Extra Talks Day On Set Of Oscar-Nominated Film [VIDEO]
No secret - I absolutely love movies. I always make it my mission to watch as many as possible, especially those that are major contenders during award season.
I recently saw 'I, Tonya' - a huge awards movie that's been nominated for just about everything. It follows disgraced Olympian Tonya Harding and her involvement in the attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan. It was my favorite film of the year so far.
Margot Robbie plays the title character with Allison Janney playing her evil mother, LaVona. Janney has swept every single major award this year: the Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA and Critics' Choice, just to name a few. The Oscar for Best Supporting Actress is almost guaranteed to be hers come March.
There's a scene in the movie where her character goes to take out the trash with reporters and media crowding her yard. As it turns out, one of my close friends was one of those vultures in the film. He had never mentioned this tiny fact before but when he finally let the secret out, I freaked out! To make up for not telling me about this, he agreed to talk to me about the experience, including how he got the gig, working with Allison Janney and how he felt seeing himself on screen.
To see what he had to say, watch the video above. Bobby is a news reporter and movie fanatic. Thanks for talking to us, Bobby!
P.S. He's wearing the same jacket in the film as he is in the photo. Ha!
