Hunters Reminded To Look For Missing Minnesota Man And His ATV

A Minnesota family continues to live their worst nightmare and they continue to hope that the combination of their due diligence, law enforcement, and the public's help will end the nightmare and their missing loved one will be located.

The public first got word that Jeremy Lawrence had gone missing on Tuesday, August 22, when a plea went out on Facebook from Debbie Lassila Lawrence. She shared the troubling news that her 39-year-old son had gone missing at the end of the previous weekend.

Her initial post stated:

We have not heard from our adult son Jeremy since Sunday evening, 8/20. He was heading from Duluth to the range to stop at our house in Mt, Iron. He was driving a yellow Can Am 4-wheeler, so could be on the ATV trails between Duluth and the Range. His cell phone has been off since that time (which is very unusual). If anybody sees or knows the whereabouts of Jeremy, please contact the Duluth Police Dept. at 218-730-5020 or Debbie at 218-750-4005.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad shared that they had completed a 260-mile sortie between Duluth and the Iron Range looking for Jeremy. They had not been officially requested to help, but they had completed several "unofficial" road and trail search sorties over the past week. They added that they have a number of pilots on the squad who would continue to keep an eye out for Jeremy or his yellow Can-Am 4x4 when they're airborne.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, neither Jeremy nor his ATV has been located, but there is renewed hope with the beginning of the Minnesota firearms deer hunting season, which will bring a lot of people into the woods.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office took the opportunity to remind hunters and everyone heading into the woods to please be on the lookout for Jeremy Lawrence and/or his missing yellow ATV.

Even if you're not heading into the woods, it's important to share this information as the more people that are reminded of this situation, the better chance something will be found to help authorities. There is a $3,000 reward for the successful location and physical recovery of Jeremy, who was last seen on August 20.
