Help! Minnesota Animal Shelter Nearing Capacity For Dogs Before Busy Stray Season
We were talking to our local animal shelter this week and they are in a tough spot. They're nearing capacity for dogs and this is just before the busy spring stray season begins. They need help finding good homes and families for these cute pups!
These dogs are all available at Animal Allies right now in Duluth, Minnesota. They are doing a special now through St. Patrick's Day where dogs two months or older have a 50% off on their adoption fee.
The adoption fee is to help cover all the medical expenses the shelter has when they take care of a dog. All dogs are microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations.
Meet some of the dogs!
Zeus
Zeus is young at heart! He's very sweet and loves meeting new people. He does have a tough time with being scared of small kids. He wants to find a nice calm household with humans where he can live out his golden years.
Lucky
Lucky wants to be your lucky charm for St. Patrick's Day. He came in as a stray so not much is known about his background. He's playful and loves playing with other dogs. Sometimes he gets a little too excited and forgets his boundaries, but that's something they can help you train.

Bonded Pair - Apollo / Koda
Apollo needs his friend Koda to help with confidence and comfort. They do much better together. They love to play with each other and are a good pair. They do have strong prey drives so no cats or small dogs in the new home. These two are plenty enough on their own!
Zelda
Lazlo - What an adorable hat!
Lazlo is a 7-year-old mixed breed who is described as a sweet and goofy guy who loves meeting new people. He's still very active in his middle-aged years, so he needs a home to match his energy. He loves to be the baby boy of the home.
Ty Lee
Ty Lee is a shy, cuddly puppy who really needs a home so she can grow into the best dog she can be!
These are just a handful of dogs up for adoption at Animal Allies.
You can find more info about other dogs and cats up for adoption on their website. If you can't adopt now, consider donating to help their cause.
