I can't believe I actually look forward to Harold's Wild Game Feed at the Carlton VFW now!  I don't usually stray very far from the norm so I haven't been a fan of wild game feeds until now.   It's become a favorite because my husband and I get to share our eggrolls made with Buffalo meat to stay in the wild game theme.

Harold and his compassionate crew are always so giving of their time and efforts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital that I wanted to give back and contribute something too.  That's when the eggrolls made with buffalo meat idea was born!  They graciously provide us with buffalo meat and Homie adds veggies and spices it up just right.  (sorry to everyone that asked for the recipe, it's a secret!)  It's my job to roll the eggrolls.

The wild game feed day starts with hors d'oeuvres of fish fritters with hand crafted special dippin' sauce and this year there was seasoned pheasant fingers too.

Thank you to "the guys" who allow a chick in the kitchen!  We always have fun hanging out and trying new foods.  Everyone who came through the line had full tummies with a smile! We'll be back at the wild game feed next year with another batch eggrolls!  Maybe next year we'll try to make them with Elk! Or, wallaby pate' or python snake steaks, ya never know what these guys will come up with!
