The time has almost come for the doors to close on Gordy's Hi-Hat.

Don't panic - it's not permanent. This year's closing date will be Sunday, October 7th.

The fan-favorite restaurant announced the news on their Facebook page Saturday along with a photo of their famous fish and chips meal.

They also posted the news on their website, saying their 58th season would end its run next month.

Gordy's Hi-Hat opened in 1960 by the Lundquist family and is still owned and operated by them to this day!

Gordy's is something that was always mentioned to me when I first moved to the Northland. I can't tell you how many people told me I just had to eat there as soon as possible. I did indeed make the trip this year and it was absolutely worth it. I will be sad when it closes for the winter!

The eatery is located at 415 Sunnyside Drive in Cloquet. They are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

Better get to Gordy's while you can!
