Glensheen Closing Temporarily, Offering Digital Events In Interim
The Glensheen is closing down temporarily amid Governor Walz' new COVID-19 restrictions.
In case you missed it, Governor Walz implemented new restrictions for the state of Minnesota on Wednesday (November 18th). These new restrictions impact bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues. The new restrictions will be in place for four weeks beginning on Friday, November 20th.
The Glensheen falls under the new restrictions and have announced that they will be closing temporarily for four weeks, when the orders are lifted. The closure will begin on Saturday, November 21st, including all tours and events. The events include all in-person mansion tours, the Christmas PhotoMeet, the Spirit Of The Lights sneak peek and the Spirit Of The Lights display.
However, that doesn't mean they are giving up on the holiday cheer. In the meantime, the Glensheen will be holding a few digital events, including live and virtual tours of the venue. They are also taking requests if any of their fans have ideas on how they can continue to connect virtually with their audience.
On top of that, those with the Glensheen are also asking that fans connect with them on social media while they are closed. This includes commenting on their posts on their social media channels and helping to spread the word. They are also asking for donations and / or for you to become a member and help them amid these trying times.
