Scary movie lovers know he needs no introduction. I was way too excited when I say that a scary movie villain - one of the most famous - was in our neck of the woods recently and for a really cool reason.

Even if you don't like scary movies, you've definitely heard of the Terrifier franchise. It follows a killer clown who causes havoc no matter the time of the year. The series has become iconic over the past few years.

You really can't escape the franchise, even if you're scared and you try! The lead is played by an actor named David Howard Thornton and it's hard to recognize him without his clown costume.

Recently, he shared that he was in Duluth. I had no idea and the reason why he was here is even more amazing.

As mentioned, the franchise is all about a crazy killer clown. What makes this franchise a bit different than the others is that this one is insanely gory. Yes, all of them are but these movies really take it to the next level.

The last few movies have really put this franchise on the map. Thankfully, the actor can still walk around without being swarmed since he is usually in full makeup and costume. That was the case with his recent visit to Duluth.

David Howard Thornton Wraps Filming New Movie In Duluth

Amazing! I am so sad I missed my chance to meet or see him. David Howard Thornton recently shared a series of photos from a trip to Duluth. The reason? He was filming a movie here, which has become a pretty common thing over the past few years!

He mentioned in his caption that the film is called The Autopsy Of Albert Kemper. According to FOX 21, it started filming in the area last month and is set to be released sometime next year.

In the meantime, the actor took advantage of all things we have to offer outdoors here and had himself a very Duluth day while he had a break from filming. I love it. He visited some of our famous hiking trails and the Glensheen.

I can't wait to see this movie. I am not sure if it is still filming but I hope if it is, I hope all my fellow scary movie lovers have a chance to see the actor around town!

If you want to get into the holiday spirit, there is Terrifier movie that is set around Christmas time but watch at your own risk. And definitely don't watch if you're home alone at night. Ha!
