In the time of this global pandemic, plenty of people are still in situations limiting their ability to work.  Reduced hours all the way down to no hours some weeks are real thing for many people.  This has resulted in many people making cutbacks in lots of areas, including what and how much they eat.  Local organizations around the Twin Ports area have worked hard to get extra food to those in need.  One entity, The Vineyard Church, is having a huge food handout event on Saturday, October 3rd, from 12:00PM-2:00PM.

Fruit of the Vine has partnered up with Convoy of Hope for this event.  Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 and since then has worked with churches, businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits to deliver food to those impacted by natural disasters and other unavoidable situations that can make food resources scarce.  A full semi-truckload of free, non-perishable food will be given out to anyone who needs it.  Those who show up do not need to meet any kind of income or situational requirements.  To aid in social distancing, the event will be a drive-thru style, to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

The Vineyard Church is located at 1533 West Arrowhead Road in Duluth.  You can get more information on this event and what else they offer to help those in need in our community HERE.
