Florida Georgia Line has Hottest Country Song of the Year, Two More Weeks on the Charts to Tie with a Song from 1962 [VIDEOS]
Congrats to Florida Georgia Line, their song Cruise has spent four months on the top of the Billboard Hot Country Song chart which is the longest time a song has hovered there in the past 50 years. Take a guess at what artist and song from 1962 they'll beat out if they can hold on for another two weeks.
"Walk On By" from Leroy Van Dyke spent 19 weeks at the top of the charts back in 1962.
Now, if "Cruise" can make it another FIVE more weeks at the top, they would have the all-time record. To date, Eddy Arnold, Hank Snow and Webb Pierce all are tied with songs that spent 21 weeks in a row at the top spot.
Here's the video to the hottest country song of the year!
