Fitger’s 5K Announces ’30 Days Of Amazing Giveaways’

Registration for the 30th annual Fitger's 5K Run & Walk is going on now and to celebrate the special anniversary year, they have fun things planned.

First, the race capacity has been increased to 2,500 registrants.  Even with the increase, it is expected to sell out prior to race day on Saturday, April 27.

All finishers will receive a 30th annual commemorative finisher medal, a long-sleeve, quarter-zip shirt, and a festive pair of Fitsoks.

The other big news this year is those who register for the Fitger’s 5K will automatically be entered for the “30 Days of Amazing Giveaways” promotion.

Each day a winner is randomly selected from all 2019 registered participants and awarded a significant prize. The promotion will conclude on race day when a winner will be drawn from the entire pool of registrants for the grand prize that includes a complimentary two night stay at the Fitger’s Inn during Grandmas Marathon weekend.

All previous prize winners from the promotional period will also be eligible for the grand prize.  All prize winners will be announced on the Young Athletes Foundation Facebook page.

If you've run Fitger's 5K before, get ready for a new course in 2019 due to downtown Duluth construction.  The new course will head east for an out-and-back route featuring London Road and lake views on South Street.
