College hockey fans can start voting today (Tuesday, January 14) to help determine the 2104 Hobey Baker Award winner. In the running for this year's award are three different University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs players on the ballot this year are sophomore center Tony Cameranesi, sophomore defenseman Andy Welinski, and Junior center Caleb Herbert. The first round of balloting goes through March 9, when the field will be narrowed down to ten candidates. From there, a second round of balloting will run through March 20.

Following a second round of balloting, three finalists will be selected and a winner will be selected and announced April 11, 2014 during the NCAA Frozen Four Championships in Philadelphia.

Fans can vote once per each 24 hour period for their favorite player.

The Hobey Baker Award is the most coveted award in college hockey, given to the top NCAA men's player each year. Recipients are chosen based on on and off ice team contributions and display of character, academic performance, and compliance with NCAA rules.

Previous UMD winners include Jack Connolly in 2012, Junior Lessard in 2004, Chris Marinucci in 1994, Bill Watson in 1985, and Tom Kurvers in 1984.
