Essentia Health Announces Opening Date For New Clinic In Hinckley
Essentia Health continues to expand its healthcare services throughout the Northland. Recently, they transformed its downtown Duluth medical campus with the completion of the Vision Northland project, a four-year, $900 million investment.
Now, they are striving to provide expert, compassionate care closer to home for patients in Hinckley and the surrounding communities that they serve. While Essentia already has facilities, including hospitals, in Sandstone and Moose Lake, they will soon have another new facility that they say will seamlessly connect those patients to a higher level of care when needed.
Essentia announced they have put the finishing touches on a new 8,000-square-foot clinic in Hinckley, which features 12 exam rooms, one consult room, and one procedure room.
They will retain their rehabilitation services and offer family medicine and imaging lab services. Urgent care and additional specialty services are planned for the future. There will be two family medicine physicians caring for patients at this location initially, but they expect to add more providers in the future.
“We are very excited to be providing another location for patients to receive high-quality care close to home,” said Sam Barney, administrator at Essentia Health-Moose Lake. “By expanding our footprint, we can better meet the health care needs of people in Hinckley and the surrounding area by providing access to our wide range of specialties.”
The Essentia Health-Hinckley Clinic will officially be open to the public beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26.
The new clinic is located at 45 Lady Luck Dr. and will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made by calling (320) 279-8600, signing into MyChart, or on the Essentia website.
A community open house will be held at a later date.
