Duluth Restaurant Pokes Fun At New Outdoor Dining Protocol
I don't know about you but I absolutely love a good meme. Ha!
In case you didn't know, Governor Walz recently announced new COVID-19 guidelines and policies for establishments, like bars and restaurants. While bars and restaurants were previously closed with the exception of takeout, restrictions were loosened a bit with the new wave of policies. Bars, restaurants and breweries are still closed for indoor dining and drinking but are able to open for outdoor service at a fifty-percent capacity. Outdoor dining is capped at 100 people.
One restaurant in the Duluth area decided to poke a little fun at the fact that outdoor dining is now allowed. 7 West Taphouse shared a meme on the matter on their Facebook page and it definitely gave me a little giggle!
You can check out the meme below:
You can't deny, this is pretty hilarious! I love that they are making the best of the situation and having a little fun after a rough year for the restaurant industry.
In all seriousness, the restaurant is working on a few fun things for guests. On the same post, they shared that they are working on putting fire pits outdoors so people can come hang out and stay warm.
I think it would be a cool opportunity and story to tell to dine outdoors in a Minnesota winter. We are all used to the cold anyway, right?
7 West Taphouse has several locations across the Northland, including one near the Miller Hill Mall at 2510 Maple Grove Road in Duluth.
During these trying times, it is more important than ever to support our local businesses. There are a ton of different ways you can do so, from sharing the love on social media to buying gift cards for future use and ordering takeout. Here's to bundling up and eating outdoors!
