It is always a bummer when a local restaurant closes, especially one like the Cast Iron Bar and Grill. Earlier this month, the owners of the beloved spot shared they would be closing this month.

At the time, they told their loyal customers that they had been sold but couldn't announce details until the sale had gone through. It looks like it did - because we now know what is moving on in!

I will say that there were some rumors floating around about this and some of them were right! Tig's BBQ is moving into the space, located at 5906 Old Miller Trunk Highway.

The special announcement was shared on the official Tig's BBQ Facebook page over the weekend, referring to the news as the 'worst kept secret' in the county. Ha!

Tig's BBQ Moving Into Former Cast Iron Bar And Grill Location

The first thing you are probably wondering is when they open. According to their post, they are currently undergoing construction on the space and don't have an opening date. They did promise to keep us updated. Hopefully it is sooner rather than later!

They also shared that they will be sharing details on hiring opportunities in the near future as well. If you are in the market for a new job, keep your eyes peeled to their social media channels!

The owners of the Cast Iron Bar and Grill also wished the new space well once the news was announced. There is one piece of bittersweet news, however: the Tig's BBQ food truck will be no longer so that the restaurant can be the main focus.

As for the menu, this is music to my ears! Tig's BBQ will offer a full lunch and dinner menu. They promise their loyal fans that all of the fan favorites will be on it. They also promised some non-BBQ items as well so there really is something for everyone.

I have heard SO much about this spot over the years but have never been there myself. I am not a huge BBQ person but I can't deny their food looks incredible. I will definitely be checking out that non-BBQ menu because it all looks incredible.
