Spring break week in Duluth is April 6-10.  While kids are looking forward to a break from school, parents are wondering what they're going to do to occupy their free time that will keep them from being a permanent fixture in front of the TV or video games.  The Duluth Parks and Rec Department is helping with  Spring Break Week  Activities at the Heritage Sports Center.

The Duluth Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with area local youth service agencies to offer a week of fun indoor activities at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center, 120 South 30th Avenue West.

Starting Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 10th, EVERY DAY free open family skating is being offered daily from 2:00-4:00 PM. Limited skates are available for use, bring your own if you have them.

Area youth will be able to receive skills instruction and play some non-traditional sports in the Heritage Sports Center's turf arena. Every day a new sport will be featured from 10:00-Noon.

The spring break Heritage Sports Center schedule is as follows:

Monday, April 6-Kick Ball with the Boys and Girls Club

Tuesday, April 7- Ultimate Frisbee with UMD Men's Northern Lights & UMD Women's LakEFFECT Teams

Wednesday, April 8-Lacrosse lead by the UMD Lacrosse Team

Thursday, April 9-Rugby with the YMCA Rookie Rugby

Friday, April 10-Disc Golf with area enthusiasts

Problem solved, activities your kids will enjoy while getting some exercise and making new friends!
