Duluth Launching A Snow Removal Assistance Pilot Program
The City Of Duluth is launching a pilot program that will enlist the help of volunteers to help remove snow. Our Northland winters can bring heavy snowfall, and city ordinances require property owners to clear snow from their sidewalks. For some people who are not physically able to remove snow, this can lead to a problem.
A press conference is scheduled for today, October 3rd. According to our news partners at WDIO, the conference will be led by Human Rights Officer Carl Crawford along with Parks & Rec staff and members of the Duluth Commission on Disabilities. We will learn more about the program, including who is eligible for the assistance.
