Duluth just had the coldest high temperature on Christmas Day since before World War II.

If you thought it felt colder than most years on Christmas Day in Duluth, you would have been right.

According to the National Weather Service, Christmas Day 2017 had a high temperature of -8 degrees. That's the coldest high temperature since 1933 when the high was -10. -10 was also the high on Christmas Day in 1879 and 1892.

It's times like these where you end up questioning why you live here. I know the summers are nice and fall around this area makes for the best pictures, but at what cost? It hurts to breathe outside right now. I could be somewhere down south golfing right now, but I'm sitting here in subzero temperatures praying my car starts after work.

Only in Minnesota.
