Duluth's downtown sidewalk days always brings crowds of people together to enjoy shopping, eating, music, a classic car show and Harley revue, street yoga and a 5K and of course, visiting.  Did I mention eating?  All this activity temporarily closes streets and detours the Duluth Transit Authority.

It's a week I look forward to every summer, Downtown Sidewalk days in Duluth.  It begins this week on Wednesday, July 13th and finishes up on Saturday, July 16th with a street dance.

Besides all the fun I mentioned above, some of the highlights this year are:

July 13:  Sidewalk Shuffle 5K at noon

July 15:  First Street Dance at Ace's On First 8p

July 16:  Superior Street Dance at Dubh Linn Brew Pub 8p

All this activity will cause detours for the DTA.  The bus routes that travel along Superior Street to-and-from the new Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) at 228 West Michigan Street will be detoured because that's where most of the action is.  They plan to set up temporary stops along Michigan Street and First Street. Just because the buses are detoured it doesn't mean the new DTC will be closed during the Sidewalk Days event.
