In an effort to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends, and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, the Duluth Transit Authority is stepping up again this year.

The DTA is partnering with the College of St. Scholastica and National Bank of Commerce to offer passengers free bus rides on Thanksgiving.

According to their press release,  this is the 27th consecutive year that the DTA has provided free holiday service throughout the day on Thanksgiving.  The Holiday Service Schedule for each regular route can be found in the shaded area of the “Sunday” section within the DTA’s passenger hand schedules.

The DTA’s Thanksgiving Holiday Service features two special shuttle buses; “Turkey Bus 1” and “Turkey Bus 2”, that will transport passengers directly to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) from selected sites throughout the Twin Ports. Look for “Turkey Bus 1” and “Turkey Bus 2” in the destination signs to distinguish this special shuttle service from regular-route buses.
