Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers Record First Duet in 30 Years
It was back in 1983 when Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton teamed up for "Islands In The Stream." Now 30 years later, we will hear a new duet off of Kenny's upcoming album.
The song is called "You Can't Make Old Friends." It's the title track off his new album due out on October 8th.
Kenny says, "What a thrill it was for me to work again with my buddy, Dolly Parton, and what a special song. Working with Dolly is always a little like going home. Everything felt comfortable." You Can't Make Old Friends will be Rogers' first country album released in seven years, and he considers this project to be one of his best. Kenny shares, "I can honestly say this may be the best album I've ever recorded. The musical diversity is extraordinary. It goes from songs I would normally sing, to songs I would normally never even listen to. In this business, you do albums to both grow artistically, and for the sheer love of music."
