My mom LOVES the movie 'Overboard' starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.  It was a classic growing up in our house.  I've lost count of how many times I've seen it.  So I guess I kind of agree with the backlash that the new movie is getting from people asking, "Why remake this?"

I like Anna Faris and I think she's great.  If this was an original movie I probably wouldn't have a beef with it.  For some reason, this movie deserves a level of "untouchability" (new made up word.)  And of course, the remake needs to switch around the gender roles to make it new and exciting, but I'm still not sure on if that's going to do the trick.

What do you think?  Are you going to give the movie a chance or pass on it?  I think I'd rather watch the original again for the 100th time.
